Concours of Elegance Citroen 2CV sale benefits Ukrainian charity
Classic car dealer Fiskens is donating the proceeds of the sale of its Citroen 2CV Dolly at the Concours of Elegance auction to the charity Voices of Children.
The auction is being held by Gooding and Company on 3 September at Hampton Court Palace as part of the Concours of Elegance.
Gooding & Company President and Founder, David Gooding, said: ‘We are grateful for the opportunity to present this Citroën Dolly, cherished by Gregor and the Fisken family, at our upcoming London auction.
‘It is an honour to not only transfer this darling car to its next custodian, but most importantly, to assist in Gregor’s goal of aiding the Ukrainian children and families who have suffered from the tragedies of war.’
Gregor Fisken added: ‘While so much of the world seems to have returned to normal, we simply cannot ignore the horrible events in Ukraine. Our hearts go out to those whose lives will be forever changed by this needless war.
‘We’ve been thinking on ways we can help and to that end, we are going to auction our family Citroën 2CV6 Dolly and donate our entire proceeds. It has given my family a lot of joy and we hope the money that it raises will help families in need.’
The 1985 Citroen 2CV is being sold without reserve and it estimated to fetch between £10,000 and £20,000.
